From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 5, 2019, Environment UC (Mid Fraser Cluster Environment Group) partnered with the City of Abbotsford to plant 100 trees (Douglas Firs and Pines) at Wilband Park. The city dug the holes, provided soil amendment, delivered the trees and supervised their planting.  Environment UC held a potluck fundraiser at Gladwin Heights on Sunday, June 23, 2019 to raise money for this reforestation project.  42 volunteers from the First Abbotsford Scouts, City of Abbotsford and the Mid Fraser Cluster enjoyed a morning of planting!

We have attached the plans sent to the United Church Earth Stewards which show what the money raised from our Tree Party will do,thanks to the many generous donations we received.
We encourage people to take a walk at Willband Creek to see the trees.  Planting should be in October.  Due to Covid, it will be done by the city of Abbotsford.
